ELISABETH MAGALHAES
Technique


Elisabeth has been a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor for over 24 years, instructing pole dance for over 11 years and most recently Aerial Hoop. Her passion for dance and fitness as a child has now grown into her life long career. Elisabeth has won various fitness competitions as well as PSO dramatic level 4 masters in 2013. As a previous studio owner, she has successfully taught many women (and men) the art of pole dance and loves watching her students grow and achieve things they never thought possible. As a board member, event organizer and master trainer for the Canadian Pole Fitness Association, she is very committed to the pole and aerial community. Elisabeth is very excited to be on this talented panel of judges for the 2017 CPFC and cannot wait to see what amazing performances the competitors will bring to the stage this year.

RICKY PANG
Technique


Ricky was the Canadian Pole Fitness, Men’s Division champion in 2013. He was a Judge at the BC Pole Fitness Championships in 2015 and the Northwest Aerial Art Championship, Pro Event in Seattle, WA in 2015.
Ricky’s career specializes in the development of financial forecasting & business planning models. Best of luck to all of the competitors! Your commitments of time, resources, and sacrifices for the love of this sport & art form exceedingly showcases your resilience and strengths.

TERRI FIERCE & MICHAEL
Artistry


Terri ‘Fierce’ is 3 time Doubles World Champion, IPC Pole Art Doubles Champion and 2 time Solo National Champion. She is the owner and head instructor of Fierce Fitness in Ireland, which she runs with her partner Michael. As a Pole instructor with 10 years’ experience, her favourite thing is to see students blossom (both in Fierce and around the world) when taught that they can fly! Pole has brought the happiest times, most beautiful people and the greatest love of her life and now she is super excited and honoured to be here judging Canadian Nationals, teaching at Tantra and meeting an awesome new Pole Family!

Michael is 3 time Solo National Irish Champion (2013-2015) UK Champion 2015, Pole Theatre Ireland Champion & Overall Winner 2013, World Pole Dance finalist 2015 and 4th Place 2016.
He is co-owner and teaches at Fierce Fitness with his partner Terri. He is the creator of their ‘Circus Fit’ program, as he has a great love of training in Trapeze, Rope, Flying Pole and Handbalance. Michael has been working in Fitness for over 10 years and has specialised in acrobatic fitness programming for the last 5. He is delighted to have the honour of judging here in Canada and can’t wait to see the talent take the stage.

NADYNE MOLDOWAN
Artistry


Nadyne was the 2013 Canadian national champion, and won a bronze medal representing Canada at the pole championship series the following year. She has been taking time away from competition to become an automotive mechanic and a Mom! Her little boy Enzo was welcomed to the world this past October. Nadyne is very excited to be judging again this year and see all the amazing talent Canada has to offer!

GLENNY DAVIDSON

Glenny started pole in 2011 at the age of 38. After turning 40 ,she entered her first pole competition and place 2nd in BC s master division in 2013. She then went on to accomplish placing 1 st @ provincials Masters division in 2014,2015 & 2016 and placing 1st @Nationals in 2016.
She’d like to wish everyone a great performance.

NICKY NINEDOORS

Born a showgirl, Nicky Ninedoors’ performance history began when, at the age of four, she showed everyone her underpants in a formal piano recital. Nicky continued to study classical piano and voice for over ten years while training in theatre, belly dance, art, and any creative activity she could get her hands on! In 2009, Nicky made her singing burlesque artist debut. Since then, she has toured nationally and internationally, produced dozens of live music burlesque shows with Pandora and The Locksmiths, and created and produced Retro Strip Show, a celebration of all things stripper set to an 8 piece band playing music from the 60s and the 70s. Recently, Nicky participated in her first pole competition for Miss Pole Dance Taboo Pro Division during the 2017 Taboo Sex Show and, to her perfectionist self’s surprise, won the title. Nicky’s relentless passion for music, movement, and the art of performance is reflected in her continued practice of training, studying, and exploring many threads of inspiration. She is honoured to witness the exceptional talent in the 2017 CPFC and wishes a fulfilling performance for all who set foot on stage!

 

SHERYL WALSH

Sheryl Walsh is the Founder, General Manager and an Instructor at Strut Fitness & Dance in Calgary, Alberta. She has been in the fitness industry for 18 years. During that time she has followed her passion in fitness as a certified fitness trainer, gym manager, group fitness instructor, and pole instructor. As an alternate form of fitness she took her first pole class 11 years ago and loved it. She has always appreciated the fitness side of pole and enjoys watching the creativity that this sport can bring out in its athletes. She wants to thank The Canadian Pole Fitness Association for allowing her to be apart of this National event.

VERONICA SOLIMANO
Technique


Veronica has always been drawn to acrobatic activities, ingrained in her from a young age as she was a competitive gymnast while growing up. Throughout her undergrad she taught gymnastics which was where she discovered her love for teaching sport. Veronica first discovered pole dancing in 2004 with Tammy Morris at Tantra Fitness and was instantly hooked. After taking a break from pole to obtain her Master’s in Physiotherapy she began to teach the upper-level pole classes at Tantra Fitness in 2008 and was head pole instructor and athletic director at Tantra fitness from 2015-2016. From 2011 – 2014, Veronica placed an increased focus on pole training and achieved her goal of becoming the 2012 Canadian Pole Fitness Champion, allowing her to compete at the 2012 WorldPole Sport & Fitness Championships in Switzerland where she earned a spot in the finals. Veronica then went on to win the titles of 2014 World Pole Cup Champion, 2013 PanAmerican Pole Champion and 2013 Canadian PoleFitness Doubles Champion (with her partner Diana Pietroianu). After being so focused on pole as a competitor and having her first child in 2015 (and with a second on the way in August!), she now looks forward to sharing her knowledge and passion for this amazing sport through coaching & judging as well as being involved in its growth through the CPFA. Veronica loves how pole creates an empowering and supportive environment for everyone and strives to share her passion for the acrobatic side of pole.

LYNDSEY HOTELL

Lyndsey has trained and performed in dance for over 30 years.Lyndsey became a competitive Highland Dancer, performing professionally across Canada and in Scotland. Lyndsey also toured for 5 years as a dancer for the SFU Pipe Band, performing on stages such as; Carnegie Hall in New York, theSydney Opera House in Australia and many more across North America, Scotland, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
Lyndsey found her passion for pole and aerial fitness 11 years ago at The Goddess Movement in Abbotsford B.C.. In 2007, she became a certified pole fitness instructor and in 2010 developed the first aerial hoop program for The Goddess Movement. Lyndsey was awarded with first place in the Professional Division in the 2014 BC Pole Fitness Championships and at the 2014 Canadian Pole Fitness Championships placed 4th. Pole and aerial fitness has become a passion, form of expression and a way of life for Lyndsey. Time spent at The Goddess Movement includes teaching and training in pole fitness, aerial hoop, trapeze and silks. Lyndsey is also a co-director for the studio’s annual aerial show “Vertical Theatre”, in which she performs on the aerial hoop and aerial cube.

When Lyndsey is not training or competing, she is a High School Dance, Math and Science teacher and choreographer at Abbotsford School of Integrated Arts. Lyndsey is also a mom two boys, ages 8 and 5. Lyndsey would like to thank her two little boys and her amazing husband Jason for supporting and encouraging her as an aerial artist.

CHANTELLE BEASLEY

Chantelle Beasley is the proud owner of four Aradia Fitness studios in the Edmonton, Alberta region. She has been an owner for 6 years, and an avid pole dancer for almost 8.
Chantelle is thrilled to be judging the CPFC this year, as she can still recall visiting Vancouver as a relatively new pole dancer to watch the competition in 2012.
Having never seen pole dancing in a competitive state before, Chantelle was in absolute awe of the performers that so eloquently combined strength and beauty into a choreographed piece.
The bar keeps raising from one year to the next, and she is looking forward to experiencing it with everyone around her.
